Bustling spot with an open plan kitchen showing the tram dish out incredible food at a blitzingly quick rate! The food was delicious with such great detail, the highlights include the batata harara with a perfectly complimented combination of toum and fermented chilli, the brussel sprouts topped with tempura fried onions for amazing texture and the twice cooked duck was hearty balanced beautifully with oranges and plums.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences of my life. From the moment we walked into this beautiful fine-dining Middle Eastern restaurant in Surry Hills, everything felt special. The atmosphere was warm, elegant and intimate without ever feeling stuffy. The service was truly exceptional. Attentive without being intrusive, genuinely warm, deeply knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. Every recommendation — from food to wine — was flawless. You feel completely looked after here. And the food… I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Every dish was a masterpiece. Thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, bursting with flavour and creativity. This wasn’t just a meal — it was an experience. Without hesitation, this sits comfortably in the top three best meals I’ve ever had in my entire life. Each plate told a story, honouring Middle Eastern flavours while elevating them to something truly unforgettable. The wine selection was outstanding and paired beautifully with the menu, elevating the entire experience even further. This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be magical. Impeccable food, world-class service, incredible wine and an atmosphere that makes you never want to leave. If you’re considering going — do it. 100% recommend. We ate here as a group of 4 on a weekday night. We had the set menu and were able to swap out the lamb for the fish of the day. All of the food was delicious and the service was great! Very easy to make any of the dishes gluten free and the staff are attentive to dietries.

We almost missed the entrance to NOUR—tucked discreetly along Crown Street—but once inside, it felt like stepping into a serene oasis. Spacious, elegant, and beautifully lit, the atmosphere set the tone for a truly special evening. My friends brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and the staff made it feel personal without being over the top. We ordered two desserts, and instead of the usual candle-in-cake routine, they surprised me with a single candle perched on a scoop of sorbet. It was such a thoughtful touch—simple, graceful, and quietly celebratory. The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was vibrant and full of flavour, with portions that felt just right—not overwhelming, not skimpy. Service was attentive and warm throughout, striking that perfect balance between professional and personable. If you’re looking for modern Middle Eastern cuisine with soul, NOUR delivers. Just keep an eye out for the doorway—you won’t want to walk past it twice like we did!

A wonderful Friday night dinner out! Awesome service and atmosphere , the food is well worth another visit, just touched on the menu, but it is amazing. I recommend Nour, great value , delicious food prepared by a well drilled kitchen, try it, you'll be glad you did.

Carter was our waiter. It was our first time and he explained the menu and recommendations so clearly we felt confident our choices would be enough for us two. We asked about best paired wine where he gave a detailed explanation of one’s we haven’t heard of before and what would pair well with his personal preference (which is what we picked). It was a top selection for our food choice. The food was unexpected, I haven’t had much middle eastern food before and this provided me with a bridge to taste middle eastern flavours whilst still having the comfort of modern Australian. The flavours balanced so well and I could understand why specific ingredients were picked. A true masterclass of the chef designing the menu. Lastly, the chefs - as we sat at the kitchen table - had a flow that you can see team chemistry as well as being fully autonomous and calm. There was no stress whatsoever, an environment that can only be created by the best owners.

From the second we walked in the door we felt welcome. I'm so glad sitting at the kitchen counter was recommended because it was fun to get an up close view of the masterfully skilled chefs. We were celebrating Christmas away from our family and choose the Festive Feast with the Wagyu bavette which was one of the best meals of our lives. Highlights for me were the octopus and the eggplant. Our server Julie and all the staff at Nour are incredible. I'm so glad we found this place! Highly recommend and will definitely be back next time we're in Sydney! Thank you very much!❤️

We were walking around after having dinner at a nearby restaurant when we noticed Nour and decided to go in just for desserts. Andrea was at the door and he welcomed us warmly even though it was almost 9pm. We ordered the Woodfired coconut basbousa and the Tahini parfait, both with the pairing wine suggested. They were divine. The presentation was excellent and the taste superbe. We’ll definitely come back for a proper dinner and to get the same desserts again! Thank you Andrea for looking after us!!!

Location and atmosphere were perfect! such a beautiful place for a special night. Our waiter, Carter, was absolutely amazing. His service was warm, professional, and genuinely touching. You can tell he truly cares about his guests. The birthday cake surprise was executed perfectly, and he made my birthday feel so special and unforgettable. Everything from start to finish felt seamless. Thank you for making the night so memorable!

I’d walked past Nour a few times on my visits to Crown Street in Surry Hills and made a note that I would like to eat there. I’d heard good things about the restaurant and if there was any doubt they have a 4.8 star Google rating from 3.2K reviews. I decided that the perfect occasion in which to sample what Nour had to offer was for my pregnant wife’s birthday. Right away, I was taken aback by how friendly and attentive the staff were (especially our main server, the brilliant Arthur). After explaining that my wife was pregnant, Arthur had a collection of Non-Alcoholic cocktails to choose from and after ordering our dishes, he’d suggested tweaks to accommodate my wife. The food was spectacular, the ambience and setting, dynamic yet relaxed and intimate. The standout dishes were the Beetroot, sheep’s curd, pomegranate dressing and house pita as well as the Rangers Valley crossbred Wagyu Bavette MB6-7+,charcoal onions, fermented turnip vinaigerette and the Wood roasted pumpkin, goat’s feta, seeded dukkah butter, pine nut tahini sauce. The two desserts we ordered were also phenomenal. The staff were also one of the shining lights of the establishment. Arthur made my wife’s meal extra special and was always so attentive and full of personality. I can’t recommend this brilliant restaurant enough. If you are looking for an extra special meal in Sydney, you can’t go past Nour.
